As we descend into the S3anta Ynez Valley, the rolling hills covered in Oaks signify that we’re in wine country. Within a short and scenic drive you’ll be immersed in Santa Barbara County’s world renowned American Viticultural Areas.

We begin our wine tastings in the eastern region of the Santa Ynez Valley. Throughout the day we follow the Santa Ynez River downstream to within a few miles of it’s convergence with the Pacific. We’ll pass through varying geographical regions, which make each vineyard different in both the diverse grapes that are grown and also the variations among the varieties they share. We don’t just limit our experience to the tasting room. In order to truly appreciate a wine one needs to encounter its’ origins, sensing the process first hand by walking among the vines, feeling the distinctive climate, learning about the grower and his process, and of course drinking the fruits of his labors.

Throughout the day we’ll have the opportunity to visit organic and biodynamic vineyards, and their wineries and tasting rooms. Half way through the day we’ll stop at scenic location and enjoy a delicious organic picnic lunch. After lunch the tastings continue. Our experience has taught us that our tours are enhanced when we slow down the process, making each visit a more meaningful and memorable encounter. We typically taste wines from 3 to 4 vintners. At the conclusion of our afternoon we'll return on Coastal Highway 101 which follows the globally unique Gaviota Coastline, one of the last remnants of undeveloped Southern California Coast.
